Governor Kathy Hochul Pouring Money Into Combatting Gun Violence

New York Governor Kathy Hochul is pouring more than $23-million into combatting gun violence. The governor said $16-million will go towards job training and placement in 20 cities that are most impacted by gun violence. Nearly $6 million will be allocated to community activities, like sports, arts, and other recreational programs. Another $2 million will go towards additional staffing at community based gun-violence intervention programs.
