The start of winter is still a couple of months away, but the City of Albany is doing its part to make sure kids can stay warm when temperatures fall.

On Monday, city leaders and community groups announced the start of the 2021 Cash For Coats drive which collects money to buy new winter clothing items for Albany school children who need them. The drive continues until November 5th and donations can be made in-person at Albany City Hall on Eagle Street and Lodge's Department Store on North Pearl Street or by texting 518COATS to 41444.
