Schenectady residents may need a bit more time to reach their destinations over the next couple of days.

Starting Monday, there will be road closures in the city as a National Grid contractor works to install natural gas pipelines. Broadway will only be open to local traffic between Union Street and Liberty Street from 6:00 am until 6:00 pm both Monday and Tuesday. Liberty Street between Erie Boulevard and Jay Street is also going to be shut down for periods of time on both days. Crews are expected to finish up their work by the end of Tuesday.
