Troy Police Still Investigating Crash That Took Life of 14-Year-Old Boy

Troy police are still looking into what caused a crash that took the life of a 14-year-old boy.

Officials say Jerome Smith was a passenger in a vehicle that was involved in a collision Friday in the area of Hoosick Street and 13th Street at the entrance to the Hudson River Commons Shopping Plaza. Smith was taken to a nearby hospital but couldn't be saved. Police say there are no signs that impairment or intoxication caused the tragedy and they're asking witnesses to contact them at 518-270-4421.
