Scotia residents will be voting Tuesday on a referendum to build a new fire station and renovate village hall.

Officials say the facilities no longer meet the needs of employees that work inside those buildings and they also don't meet certain safety standards. A referendum was held for this project back in 2008 but it didn't pass. Voting is happening from 12:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church which is located on South Reynolds Street. Anyone who hasn't registered to vote yet will be able to do so at the polls.
