Lawsuits Expected to Challenge Constitutionality of Gun Control Law

Lawsuits are expected to be filed to challenge the constitutionality of a brand-new gun control law that was recently signed by Governor Hochul.

Congressional candidate Carl Paladino as well as the state Republican Party and state Conservative Party say they are planning to take legal action. The Concealed Carry Improvement Act was passed last week in response to a U.S. Supreme Court ruling that called the state's concealed carry laws unconstitutional. Governor Hochul's office says this legislation will save lives and combat the gun violence epidemic while also abiding by the Supreme Court's decision.
