The Warren County Sheriff's Office has released the name of the man who drowned in Friends Lake.

According to investigators, 62-year-old Perrin Dake went for a swim near his waterfront home Sunday and ended up going under the water. Emergency crews tried to find him but called off the search due to low visibility. Dake's body was taken out of the water Monday and brought to Glens Falls Hospital for an autopsy. Dake was a member of the family that owns the Stewart's Shops convenience store chain and spent over 30 years on its Board of Directors.
