In South Carolina, a mother took her daughter to Target to buy a special toy. Her daughter chose a doll. A black doll. When the cashier saw the doll, she asked the girl if the doll was for a friend's birthday. Confused, she said no, the doll is for me. The cashier told her that there were other dolls that looked more like her. The 3-year-old replied, "She does (look like me). She's a doctor like I'm a doctor. And I'm a pretty girl and she's a pretty girl. See her pretty hair? And see her stethoscope?"
