Chuck’s Blog: Coxsackie Man Drives 155 MPH, Kills Two, Gets 25

The prosecutor and Albany County Court Judge Thomas Breslin just hammered 26-year old Tyler Pascuzzi in court yesterday. Breslin, who sentenced Pascuzzi to up to 25 years in prison, ripped the Coxsackie man for getting behind the wheel drunk, driving 155mph on the Thruway and getting into a crash that killed two of his passengers. The prosecutor, Mary Tanner-Richter, said, "His conduct is probably the worst that I've seen in my 13 years doing vehicular crimes." Pascuzzi showed no remorse, made no statement in court and his attorney tried to convince the jury he wasn't even driving his own car. The jury called "B.S." on that defense strategy and convicted Pascuzzi. Despite the mountain of evidence against her son, Pascuzzi's mother says her son is innocent and called the D.A. a liar.

Kelly and I talked about the case as well as a local road rage incident and a high school where they removed the mirrors in the girls' bathroom so the kids wouldn't feel bad about their looks. Yup. You read that right. - Chuck
