The owner of Blessings Tavern in Colonie announced on Facebook that she has finally gotten the go ahead to rebuild Blessings. In her Facebook post she writes "Today the SBA approved my building loan!!! Blessing's Tavern II will be built very soon. The last obstacle has been surmounted!!!"
Blessings Tavern burned down in October 2016 after Michael Carr crashed his car into the building causing the blaze. Passenger, Niko DiNovo was severely burned in the crash and eventually died from his injuries. In January, Michael Carr, the driver of the vehicle was sentenced to six years in prison as a result of the crash.
