You know when that Nigerian Prince emails you offering to give you a million dollars? You know it's probably a scam. Well, if Bruce Springsteen texts you and asks you for money... it may be a scam too.
Last month, someone in Illinois, got a text from someone claiming to be "The Boss". It said he needed the money to cover an investment he made in Dubai. And... the person believed him. Both that it was Springsteen and that he had an investment in Dubai.
They finally figured out it was a scam but not before giving the fake Bruce Springsteen $1600 and some iTunes gift cards.
