Man Demands Boycott of Troy Business Over Pro-Trump Shirt

A small business in Troy is facing controversy over the sale of a t-shirt in their store.

Troy Cloth & Paper is a screen-printing and merchandise store in the heart of Troy. Generally, they sell t-shirts and items boasting Troy, NY. However, a large part of their business is printing custom orders.

In 2016, they received orders for political t-shirts for Sanders, Clinton and Trump. On Saturday, the store was clearing out old products after the store moved locations and a single Trump shirt ended up on their clearance rack.

According to one of the owners, the shirt was a test shirt created for a customer and it was never supposed to be placed for sale.

David Langer was suspicious that their was going to be a problem when a man barged into the store calling Langer, who is Jewish, a Nazi. Langer claims that Daniel Micah placed the shirt with other like colored shirts to take the photo that is now floating around social media. Langer says that those other shirts in the photo are actually Uncle Sam shirts.

Troy Cloth & Paper has contacted their legal team about the post because of the backlash they have received including hundreds of phone calls and negative reviews on Google and Facebook.

Troy Cloth & Paper has since responded to the firestorm on Facebook.
