Common Misspoken Phrases

There are sayings that we've heard over and over again. Some that we've become so used too that we don't know that some of them are actually wrong. 

"I could care less" for instance is incorrect. The correct saying is "I couldn't care less". 

How many of these have you been saying incorrectly?

Nip it in the butt vs. Nip it in the bud - "Nip it in the bud" is actually the correct saying. It means that someone is going to do something quickly.

Hunger pains vs. Hunger pangs - Hunger pains makes sense, but the correct phrase is "hunger pangs".

You've got another thing coming vs. You've got another think coming - The correct phrase is "you've got another think coming" which means the person is wrong and they need to think again.

Scapegoat vs. Escape goat - If you're blaming someone else... they are a "scapegoat".

Butt naked vs. Buck naked - They both mean the same thing, but the correct one is "buck naked".

One in the same vs. One and the same - "One in the same" is grammatically incorrect.
