Weatherman Mike Seidel from Weather Channel is getting criticized for his coverage of Hurricane Florence. He is filming a broadcast live in Wilmington, North Carolina talking about the 60 mph winds that he is bracing himself against. Then, two men just casually walk by as if it was just a regular old rain shower.
And twitter-world was quick to point out his theatrics.

💨Exaggeration - To magnify beyond the limits of truth
💨Lean Into The Wind - To stand in a high wind, you need to lean into the wind, that is, opposite the direction that the wind is blowing
💨Dont let 2 people stroll effortlessly past you 🤣 pic.twitter.com/2lANUJx9TV
I like the Weather Channel. But look at this guy acting like the wind is about to blow him over as he rocks back and forth. Meanwhile, I guess he missed the guys walking behind him casually talking on their phones. OOPS!!— 🇺🇸John #KAG🇺🇸🚂👊🐸 (@JohnCooper0610) September 14, 2018
I mean it's windy sure BUT...........#WalkAway pic.twitter.com/OPlio7VEWx
The Weather Channel attempted damage control by saying he was actually trying to brace himself from falling on slippery grass. But, no one is buying it.
Some people even went as far as to reenact their own weather reports courtesy of #weathergate.
