Porn star Stormy Daniels isn’t happy with her lawyer Michael Avenatti – and she’s going public with the disagreement. In an exclusive interview with “The Daily Beast,” Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, said that Avenatti has done a number of things she’s not happy about – including filing the defamation lawsuit against President Trump without telling her.
But she’s also claiming that Avenatti is refusing to tell her how he’s spending the more than a half-million-dollars raised through crowdfunding on her behalf. Daniels says when she asked for an accounting, that Avenatti didn’t answer – and started a second crowdfunding campaign without her knowledge.
“Days ago I demanded again, repeatedly, that he tell me how the money was being spent and how much was left,” she notes. “Instead of answering me, without my permission or even my knowledge Michael launched another crowdfunding campaign to raise money on my behalf. I learned about it on Twitter.” She goes on to say that Avenatti has been a great advocate in many ways but she is not sure she will keep him on the case.
