The Troy Police Department is currently investigating the discovery of a malnourished dog. He was found by Troy Police midnight patrols in the area of the Frear Park basketball courts. Most likely abandoned there. He was not muddy or dirty like you would expect an animal that was exposed to the elements. There is no microchip or tattoo identification on him. He is currently being cared for at a local vet, severely underweight and malnourished. Prognosis is good. Most probably a Mastiff / Hound mix. The Troy PD is seeking the assistance of the public in the hopes that someone may have information about this dog and its owner.
