The White House Economic Report Is Filled With Easter Eggs

Facade of a government building, White House, Washington DC, USA

Economic reports are not page turners by any stretch… until now.

If you look closely at the White House's economic report released yesterday you might recognize some of the names who helped write it: Batman, Spider-Man and Jabba The Hutt. It's the second straight year that economists writing the report have slipped some Easter eggs into the annual document.

On page 624, the list of Council of Economic Advisers interns includes Peter Parker and Bruce Wayne. Also appearing are Steve Rogers, also known as Captain America, and J.T. Hutt, which is a fan abbreviation for Jabba the Hutt. Last year's report included Star Trek interns James T. Kirk and Jean-Luc Picard.

You can try and find all of the Easter eggs by reading the full report here.
