Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez says she's pretty shocked by a picture that showed up on Facebook over the weekend. It shows a group of young supporters of Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell pretending to grope and choke a cardboard cutout of the freshman Democrat from New York.
AOC tweeted “Hey @senatemajldr – these young men look like they work for you. Just wanted to clarify: are you paying for young men to practice groping & choking members of Congress w/ your payroll or is this just the standard culture of #TeamMitch?”
The group of men were all decked out in "Team Mitch" t-shirts and looked to be campaign workers for the Kentucky senator. So far the senator has made no comment on the picture.
