Stupid Criminals: Man Steals Cookies, Wearing Cookie Monster Shirt

In Oregon, police got a call about a man at a convenience store. He was wearing a cookie monster shirt when he walked into the store, grabbed a package of cookies, ate half then walked out. The store tweeted a surveillance photo of the guy. He was identified and when the police went to his house, he told them it was all a big misunderstanding.

He was arrested anyway.

In New Mexico, a woman went into a Sonic and ordered some food. When they handed it to her, she refused to pay. She said "This ones on God" and left. Employees called police who found her just down the road, eating her stolen lunch at a nearby park. Well, we know that God can do a lot of miraculous things, but picking up the tab for a hot dog isn't one of them. So, she was arrested.

In Indiana, a woman had a meeting with her probation officer. She showed up for it wearing stolen dentures. And since they weren't made for her, they didn't fit her. The officer clearly knew they weren't hers.

After the woman left, a call came in about a set of dentures that had gone missing. The woman who lost the dentures, knew the woman with the ill-fitting new dentures.

When the police showed up at the house of the woman who had been wearing them, the dentures were found, sitting on the counter, with the other woman's name on them. So she can add theft to the reasons why she needs to meet with a probation officer.
