Robert De Niro Drops F-Bombs, Calls Trump a Gangster on CNN

3rd Annual Critics' Choice Documentary Awards

Robert De Niro hasn’t been shy about his criticisms of President Donald Trump… but he’s done trying to be polite. The actor appeared on CNN’s “Reliable Sources” Sunday morning, where he got got pretty heated and even dropped a couple of F-bombs.

Bottom line, De Niro says Trump “should not be president, period.” When asked about the backlash he gets from Fox News when he speaks out about the president, De Niro brushed off the network’s hate with some choice words – as in, “f**k em, f**k em” – before apologizing for the profanity.

“We are in a moment in our lives in this country where this guy is like a gangster, he’s come along and said things, done things we say over and over again, ‘this is terrible,’” De Niro continued. “We’re in a terrible situation, and this guy just keeps going on and on and on without being stopped.”
