Ellen Addresses Cowboys Game Outrage By Explaining What “Kindness Is"

Ellen DeGeneres is batting back after she got flack for sitting next to former President George W. Bush at Sunday's Cowboys-Packers football game in Dallas.

Viewers saw shots of DeGeneres and Bush laughing together and some weren't happy about it. On her talk show, DeGeneres said people thought, "Why is this gay Hollywood liberal sitting next to a conservative Republican president?" The host said she's friends with Bush, and a lot of other people who don't share her beliefs.

DeGeneres told her audience that when she says be kind to one another she means everyone, not "only people who think the same way you do."
