Happy Hour: Mohonasen Students Deliver Handmade Valentines to Vets

African woman holding Valentine's Day card

Kids at Mohonasen school district gave a heart-warming effort where a bunch of kids at the Bradt Primary school made special Valentines for our military people. These kids definitely get it!

Students wrote more than 600Valentine's cards — all of which will go to local veterans and members of the military.

An 89-year-old widower in California just received a priceless gift from a stranger. He lost his wife 13 years ago and has not taken off his wedding ring since. When they got married, they had their rings custom made - his was a unique castle with a diamond at the top of one of the towers. He recently lost a lot of weight while undergoing chemo and somewhere the ring fell off. He retraced his steps, but was unable to find it.

As a last resort, he filed a report with the local police department. The officer who took the report was so moved by the story that he reached out to a local jeweler for help. Together, they were able to track down the woman who made the ring all those years ago. She even remembered the ring in detail and was able to create an exact replica. They all surprised the man with his replacement ring. He was left speechless... and so grateful.
