Happy Hour: Jericho Drive-in to Host Concert and Movie Series

Drive-ins have been a safe zone to hang out at during the pandemic and starting tonight, Proctors and our sister station 98.3 TRY are presenting a drive-in concert series at Jericho Drive-in in Glenmont. The series has artists performing music over five consecutive Wednesdays. Each artist is paired with a similarly-themed classic film that is shown after the live concert performance. The first performance is Albany-based “The Oldies Show” accompanying the movie American Graffiti.

The cost is $25 per person; the maximum charge per vehicle is $100.

Economic help during the pandemic is helpful any way people can get it and in the Village of Coxsackie, residents have had their last quarter’s water and sewer bills forgiven. The Village Board has approved the move and the second quarter bills are now covered, something estimated to cost in the hundreds of thousands of dollars in total. Village residents are still finding out about the nice surprise of at least one bill covered in these tough financial times.

Albany’s public library has now started to allow book pick-ups. It looks different, considering indoor services are still closed. Instead, like restaurants, the library is doing curb-side pickup.

Albany Public Library Executive Director Scott Jarzombek says "For now it is just the back log of requests available for pick up by appointment and starting next week, the next phase kicks in."

Curb-side pick-up is available at the Bach and Delaware branches.
