President Trump Jokes About Being Added to Mount Rushmore

Did the White House contact the governor of South Dakota to find out the process for adding a fifth president to Mount Rushmore? It depends whom you ask.

According to the “New York Times,” Governor Kristi Noem said the first time she met the President he told her it was his dream to have his face join George Washington,Thomas Jefferson,Teddy Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln. She apparently laughed, thinking it was a joke. But she then noticed the President wasn't laughing so she knew he was serious.

President Trump says it’s “fake news,” but he’s not against the idea either. “This is Fake News by the failing @nytimes & bad ratings @cnn,' he tweeted. “Never suggested it although...sounds like a good idea to me!'

The National Park Service says there is no stable space to add another face, so it will remain at four.
