New Poll: Nearly Half of Capital Region Residents Want Longer "On Pause"

49% of Capital Region residents say New York's ‘On Pause’ restrictions should remain in place beyond the middle of May.

39% say it will be safe to gradually end those restrictions and begin opening the economy.

That's according to a Survey from Siena College Research Institute sponsored by the Times Union.

54% of those surveyed have received money from the federal government stimulus program.

26% have a household member that has been laid off and 21 percent know someone that has died due to COVID-19.

24% indicate they have had trouble meeting their monthly expenses.
