Happy Hour: UAlbany Football Players "Served" Scholarships

A tremendous story out of U-Albany that started out looking very ominous. Cops converged on the football field where the Danes were practicing, and called out the names of four players so they could serve them some legal papers.

All four were given scholarships and Coach Greg Gattuso says it was a great moment.

A Massachusetts boy is battling cancer and recovering at home after surgery to remove a brain tumor. Because of his compromised immune system, he can’t leave the house and instead spends most of his day sitting in the front window. His relatives decided to help boost his spirits by making regular visits.

His mom is a police officer and when her co-workers found out about it not only did police cars show up but also a lot of creative community members.

Quinn’s spirits have stayed high because of the visits and he will find out this fall how his immune system is reacting to the surgery.

In California a man was fishing and felt something on his line. It turned out to be a 10 minute struggle that caused him to actually walk into shallow water to get the fish off the line. It wasn’t a fish… it was a seven-gill shark! As James White dropped the shark from the line, it bit his ankle. White yelled for help and swears this story is true….

His dog, a pit bull named Darby who had been waiting in the car, was able to open the car door and rush to the water.

The shark had punctured an artery on James’ leg but the dog most likely prevent more serious damage.
