When you’re driving down the highway at 70 mph, the last thing you expect to have turn up on your windshield is a snake, but that’s what happened to Vicki Ruhl. She suspects the snake climbed onto her car while she was visiting a friend’s farm.
Ruhl says she drove for an hour with the snake slithering across the windshield, into and out of the engine compartment, and around her side mirror. She videoed the snake while driving and says she missed her exit because she was so distracted. Ruhl says she called 911, who told her to call a reptile rescue group.
The snake was identified as a non-venomous bull snake.
