100,000 Gallons of Sewage Spills into the Hudson in Albany

Now that winter is coming to an end, there is another problem ongoing. Sewage leaking into the waterways. This is in part due to the snow melting and overflowing. According to the DEC, 100,000 gallons of raw sewage spilled into the Hudson River in just over an hour this weekend in Albany. The DEC has come up with a list of ways that you can help prevent this from happening including shutting off faucets that aren't in use, taking shorter showers and avoiding dumping grease down the drains.
