Teacher Fired Over School's No Zero Policy

A teacher in Port St. Lucie, Florida says she was fired for refusing to give students partial cred for work they they didn't turn in.

Mrs. Tirado has been teaching for more than 17 years, however, she just began teaching at West Gate K-8 School this year. She was an eighth-grade social studies teacher.

Mrs. Tirado didn't get a chance to say goodbye to her students, so she left a note for them on the white board in her classroom. She took a picture of the note and shared it to Facebook. Comments started pouring in supporting her and her post has been shared more than 1,000 times.

She then made another post to social media saying that she took the fight because the policy is ridiculous.

She has since been offered another job.
