Remember that huge day-long traffic jam on the Northway a couple of weeks ago, after two tractor trailers collided? Traffic was at a standstill for most of the day, with a lot of it diverted onto Route 9, which became a mess itself.

Vanessa Banks went into labor that morning July 17th and needed to get from Saratoga to Glens Falls Hospital. She and her husband Matt left that morning and had to wait for hours on the drive north.

The baby was not waiting for traffic and the Banks’ had to pull off Route 9 and into the parking lot of B&R Auto Repair in Moreau. A dispatcher talked Matt through the delivery and he caught their new healthy daughter in his t-shirt. There were no complications and everyone made it safely to the hospital, once EMS arrived.

A 6-year-old named Brady Campbell recently lost his dad to colon cancer. Before he died, Brady promised his dad that he would take care of his mom. He really wanted to take her on a date, but he didn't have any money. So, he decided to set up a lemonade stand to raise money.

His lemonade stand raised $244 - more than enough for a night out with his mom. Then, a local police officer found out about the stand and set up a Gofundme page which so far has raised almost $40,000. That money will go to the Palliative Care Team and Cancer Center at the University of Colorado in his dad's name.

Mario the cat went missing from his home in Corinth in 2015, and his owner Cassandra Pearsall spent lots of time and effort looking for him, searching every animal shelter she could find. 4 years later, he ended up resurfacing recently all the way in Cohoes.

He was found by Elizabeth Pagan, hiding in her bushes. She brought him to Mohawk-Hudson Humane society and It turns out Mario had a microchip and The Mohawk-Hudson humane Society is where the family was reunited last week.

Mohawk-Hudson officials stress the importance of microchipping, saying only 4% of cats brought to them last year were reunited with their owners.
