It's August so, it’s time for back to school shopping and some states are cutting you a break. While New York hasn't joined the list of tax free shopping days, there are plenty of nearby states that could warrant a road trip - Lee Outlets anyone?

If you time it right, you’ll probably find a sale to add to your savings!

Here’s the break down of tax-free shopping by state:

  • Arkansas: August 3rd to 4th
  • Connecticut: August 18th to 24th
  • Florida: August 2nd to 6th
  • Iowa: August 2nd to 3rd
  • Maryland: August 11th to 17th
  • Massachusetts: August 17th to 18th
  • Mississippi: July 26th to 27th
  • Missouri: August 2nd to 4th
  • New Mexico: August 2nd to 4th
  • Ohio: August 2nd to 4th
  • Oklahoma: August 2nd to 4th
  • South Carolina: August 2nd to 4th
  • Tennessee: July 26th to 28th
  • Texas: August 9th to 11th
  • Virginia: August 2nd to 4th
