Mayor de Blasio Drops Out of 2020 Race

Democratic Presidential Candidates Speak At Historic Galivants Ferry Stump

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio has announced that he is dropping out of the 2020 race. In an interview on MSNBC's "Morning Joe" de Blasio commented "I feel like I have contributed all I can to this primary election. It’s clearly not my time, so I’m going to end my presidential campaign,"

He launched his campaign in May and ultimately ended with 0% support according to a Siena College poll. He did not qualify for the last democratic debate, and likely would not have qualified for the final debate of 2019 in October.

Mayor de Blasio's exit follows Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand who dropped out of the race last month.
