A container ship has hit the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore, Maryland, causing a bridge collapse. The incident has resulted in a massive response from several state agencies, including the U.S. Coast Guard, Baltimore Fire and Police. Reports suggest that around 20 people may have been thrown into the water during the collapse, and rescuers are facing challenges due to freezing temperatures and low visibility. The bridge was a major thoroughfare, carrying the Baltimore Beltway\Interstate 695 over the Patapsco River. As a result, the incident is being treated as a mass casualty event. A team of structural engineers will investigate the entire bridge's collapse. Check out video of the bridge collapsing.
