After a counterfeit check landed a Schenectady police officer in hot water last November; Officer Jonathan Moore is resigning from the department at the end of business Tuesday.
Moore was suspended while the department investigated his business dealings with his then partner Anthony Aubin, who was arrested on charges that he tried to use a phony $92,000 check to try and purchase a Jaguar coupe.
Aubin's arrest triggered an investigation into allegations that gay officers have taken part in sex parties that may have involved underage teens, those allegations were later dismissed as false.
