New York couple arrested over son's absence from school.

A New York couple has been arrested over their son's absence from school.

State Police say the 9 year old boy was allowed to miss 46 full days of school this year and was tardy for another 30 days.  

The average school year in New York is 180 days.  

52 year old Dominic Cappuccetti and 44 year old Healther Barlett of Redwood, NY are charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

State Police were assisted by Child Protective Services in Jefferson County.

Cappuccetti was also wanted by Watertown City PD on an arrest warrant for Petit Larceny. He was turned over to the Watertown PD without incident.
