A Big Weekend in Saratoga!

Saratoga Race Course's biggest race of the meet is today: the $1.25 million dollar Travers Stakes.

12 outstanding 3-year-old horses, including all three triple crown winners, are entered.

This is the first time this has happened since 1982.

Spectrum News Sports director Marissa Jacques says the other 9 horses in the field are not too shabby.

She adds that she is putting her two dollars on the Belmont winner Tapwrit.

With two big events happening simultaneously in Saratoga today, police are already out with some important traffic information.

The Travers Stakes at the track and a Luke Bryan Concert at SPAC are both happening in a similar time frame.

Near the Race Course, note that at 4 PM, all U-turns and left turns will be taken away on Union Avenue.

From 4 to 9 PM, Union will run strictly east and west from Nelson Avenue to Henning Road.

The biggest window of potential traffic trouble with event overlap will be from 6 to 8 PM.

Authorities are asking that those who are going to SPAC and taking the Northway, to not use Exit 14, and instead only use Exits 12, 13, and 15.

Signs will be posted along major routes, with updates throughout the day.

You can hear the Travers Stakes on News Radio 810 & 103.1 WGY.

Coverage starts at 3 PM.
