A search unnerved some Albany neighbors over the weekend, as police surrounded a home, looking for a suspect.
Albany Acting Police Chief Robert Sears spoke with News Channel 13 about the search that Albany Police conducted on Morton Avenue in the city.
"I can't get into too much about the details of the investigation, but it is a significant investigation that we've been working on, and it has to do with some very violent people."
Police came upon the house, after getting a tip that someone they were looking for might be inside.
"The person who we're looking to talk to is an extremely dangerous person, so we took extra precautions to make sure that the area was safe."
The search proved unsuccessful.
Sears added that he believes the neighborhood is safe and secure.
