Governor Cuomo spent Friday delivering aid to Puerto Rico.
Some New Yorkers are expressing cynicism about the Governor's motives, but others, like Assemblyman John McDonald, tell News Channel 13 that as New Yorkers, we simply step in to help.
"Those individuals really have been through the ringer, and have been through these tragic situations, and you know, if New Yorkers can be of help to other communities that have family here in New York, that's why we step up and do it."
A New York delegation that included engineers, translators, and National Guardsmen brought supplies, including food, water, flashlights, generators, cots, and blankets, to the island.
