“It's frankly a spectacular system and it would be a pity to see it undermined or go away or fail.” -Toni Lasicki, Executive Director, Community Living of New York State
A push is on for New York's government to invest in community-based mental housing. A coalition consisting of dozens of community-based supportive housing providers and mental health advocates from across the state has launched the Bring It Home campaign. It's goal is to secure more funding for the programs and to help the state lead the nation in providing for those in need. In this podcast Toni Lasicki, the Executive Director of Community Living of New York State, talks to George Morris about the campaign and the repercussions that await if funding does not materialize.
