City, Town and County officials throughout Schenectady County are urging residents to prepare themselves for flooding and possible evacuation over the next few weeks. The potential for flooding of the Mohawk River exists from ice jams and precipitation combined with warmer temperatures.
RapidNotify is an automated alert system used by the County to send out text messages or phone calls to alert residents in the event of an emergency situation. Residents with cell phones and/or unlisted landline numbers are not automatically included in the system.
