WGY Capitol Correspondent Arrested, Released at the Capitol

Daily News reporter and WGY Capitol Correspondent Ken Lovett was taken into custody at the Capitol Wednesday afternoon for using his cellphone in a prohibited area of the lobby of the State Senate.

Lovett was placed in handcuffs and detained until Governor Cuomo made an appearance.

Cuomo says he does not believe charges will be filed.

Lovett frequently appears on WGY’s Chuck and Kelly and in WGY News stories.

Lovett tweeted later that "state police were very professional."
