Saratoga's Peerless Pool Reopens After Renovations

After 10 months of renovations, the state has opened the Peerless Pool complex at Saratoga Spa State Park.

The pool was shut down a couple of weeks early last Summer in order to allow construction crews to get to work.

The old concrete bathhouse is gone, replaced by one that is a third smaller, yet contains more room for swimmers to change.

There was some concern last Summer that crews wouldn't be able to get the complex ready for this Summer.

To date, State Parks Commissioner Rose Harvey says $15 million has been spent on this and several other projects at Saratoga. The pool itself was left untouched.

WGY's Read Shepherd was there for the unveiling Monday morning, watch his Facebook live video of the pool below.
