While we're not looking at an extended heat wave, temperatures will be well into the 90's again today. With that in mind, the city of Troy is opening four cooling stations from 1:00 to 8:00 pm.  They're located at 120th St. Park in Lansingburgh, Little Italy Marketplace (5th Ave, Liberty and Hill) 7th Ave. Park, and Canal St. Park in South Troy.

The State Health has a map of cooling stations that could be open in extensive heat.  Here's a link.  Be sure to call before heading out.

Meanwhile, in Colonie, town officials will be on hand this afternoon for a ribbon-cutting at the new splash pad at Mohawk River Park on Schermerhorn Rd.
