While calling insider trader charges filed against him "meritless", Congressman Chris Collins announces he is suspending his re-election campaign. The Western New York representative's statement said he discussed his decision with family and finds it in the best interest of his constituents, the Republican Party and President Trump's agenda. Collins is accused of giving his son insider information on a failed drug trial. His son also faces charges, accused of selling more than a million shares of the company's stock ahead of the public announcement and decline and its stock price.
