3rd Annual Duck Derby Held to Support Autism Awareness

Thousands of ducks made their way down the Mohawk River in Schenectady yesterday.

These ducks were of the yellow, rubber variety, and were sponsored by participants in the 3rd Annual Duck Derby, to promote autism awareness.

Organizer and Assemblyman Angelo Santabarbara says this is their chance to really talk about what their challenges are, and how they can be helped.

He adds that sometimes these challenges are little things, and sometimes they are big things, but they all need to be addressed.

Santabarbara's 16-year-old son, Michael, has autism.

The money raised will be going to research and support services for families.
