Former New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman will not face criminal charges following allegations that he abused women.
That's word from Nassau County District Attorney Madeline Singas who had been the special prosecutor in the investigation into allegations that Schneiderman physically abused several women.
In a statement Singas says she personally interviewed each of the women who cooperated with the investigation and talked to members of Schneiderman's security and employees.
She notes she believes the women, however legal impediments, including statutes of limitations, preclude criminal prosecution.
Schneiderman resigned six months ago following the allegations revealed in The New Yorker.
