A community in shock and police still searching for answers after a double murder suicide in Ballston Spa. Police discovered the victims as a result of a welfare check requested by 46 year old Steve Jones employer when he did not appear for work. According to investigators, Jones was found in the living room of the family's Adams Circle home with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. His wife, 43 year old Jennifer and 12 year old daughter Emma were found in separate bedrooms, each with gunshot wounds. A long gun was retrieved from the home. Police have not released a motive in the case. Grief counseling services are being mobilized in the Ballston Spa Central School District and for employees at GlobalFoundries.
