SIENA POLL: Cuomo & Schumer Hit All-Time-Low

New York Governor Cuomo Makes Announces That Spotify Will Add 1,000 Jobs In NYC

A poll released Monday from Siena College doesn't have a lot of good news for either Governor Cuomo or Senator Chuck Schumer. Both took a bit hit in their favorability ratings in January.

Cuomo's; his lowest ever, only 43% of registered New York voters view him favorably, and that number's even lower among upstate voters at only 32%.“Now, for the first time ever, half of New Yorkers view Andrew Cuomo unfavorably. It’s his lowest favorability rating ever and his lowest-ever job performance as governor,” said Siena College pollster Steven Greenberg. “And it is a dramatic drop in both ratings from last month.

Schumer's numbers were down 6 points, and only 40% of upstate voters give him a thumbs-up. President Trump’s favorability rating is 35%, up from 32% last month.

For the most part, voters approve of the new laws passed by the legislature in January, although upstate voters are split on the new gun laws and the Reproductive Health Act.
