The state has a webpage devoted to getting more hands on deck in the medical community.
New York State is calling on recently retired health care professionals to sign up to be part of a reserve staff if the need arises. Qualified medical and nursing school students and staff are also being requested to be ready to help.
People can enlist at health.ny.gov/assistance.
