Cuomo: NY is Flattening the Curve, Announces Absentee Voting for Primary

New York state is recording its highest death toll yet from coronavirus, with 779 people passing away from the disease Tuesday. Governor Andrew Cuomo said the news was "terrible" and added the number of deaths will continue to rise as those who are hospitalized pass away. The governor said it appears New York Pause and social distancing is working to flatten the curve. He also directed all flags in the state be flown at half-staff in honor of the COVID-19 victims, as the death toll in the state hit just over 6,200.

Cuomo also announced that all New Yorkers will be able to vote absentee in the June 23rd primaries.
